Summit Construction Group breaks ground on a modern high rise storage in St Petersburg, FL

The former low cost motel along 34th Street South has been a problem in the city for years—with code violations and bankruptcy filings. Now, the motel is in the process of going through some major redevelopment. Summit Construction Group along with city leaders broke ground on the development earlier this week. Officials said the massive project will go through several phases before it is completed. “We’re starting with the first phase which is a four story, climate controlled storage facility, with ground floor neighborhood retail. And that’s the beginning for untapping the potential for the 10.5 site.” The new redevelopment project is expected to be finished early next year.
